Kimberly Keesler Herrera holds an MBA from EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain, and a Bachelor of Humanities in Spanish from Binghamton University in New York. She also earned a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from UC Berkeley.

Kimberly spent much of her career in the tech industry as a Strategic Account Manager, building relationships and driving revenue for global companies like Upwork, Google, and Symantec. While she loved helping clients solve business challenges, she often found herself in conversations about investing, FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early), and retirement planning with colleagues and friends.

In 2023, Kimberly decided to formalize her passion for personal finance by returning to school to pursue becoming a Financial Planner. After a five-month sabbatical, she made the leap from tech to financial planning and joined Ballast Point. 

Based in San Francisco, Kimberly and her husband, Alejandro, spend their weekends in Golden Gate Park or exploring Sonoma County where they enjoy hiking and wine tasting.
